Peppers Seminyak is a villa only resort located in the heart of Seminyak, with easy access to the beaches, shopping, bars and restaurants which make this destination so popular with tourists. One of the most appealing features of this resort is the multitude of accommodation options on offer, from one bedroom studio pool villas to five bedroom presidential villas that sleep 14 people. If you are travelling to Bali as a group or with extended family, this property is ideal as it offers the convenience of staying at a resort plus a classic Bali villa holiday experience.
Whether you stay in the cheapest villa or the most expensive one, you get a private pool, sundeck with reclining loungers, and an indoor/outdoor marble bathroom with a sunken tub. There is also a spacious living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. Bedrooms are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms, marble floors, spacious wardrobes and flat screen TVs. We enjoyed the Harman Kardon sound system in the outdoor living area which was perfect for enjoying Bali chill out tunes while lounging by the pool.

Peppers Seminyak is ideal for family getaways and multigenerational celebrations as there is a villa type to suit everyone. However, you might need to get in early. The word is out about Peppers Seminyak, particularly with Australian families, many of whom come back year after year. Our family had a two bedroom villa which was perfect for two adults plus our teenage son. It was great to be able to hang out together in the outdoor living area but also have our own fully self-contained bedroom, both of which came with a full indoor/outdoor bathroom and all the mod-cons.
If you book a smaller villa like ours, the only lounge and living areas are outdoors. We visited during Bali’s cooler winter months so this was fine for us but it could get very hot in summer. You can always hang out in the airconditioned bedrooms or jump in the pool to cool down. However, if you are travelling with those who feel the heat, a larger villa could be a better option. Peppers Seminyak has one restaurant, The Laneway Restaurant & Bar, which is reminiscent of a hip Melbourne café. The breakfast at The Laneway, which is included in every booking, is one of the best we’ve had in Bali. We loved the extensive buffet and being able to order hot dishes from the a la carte menu.
Don’t miss the excellent barista coffee which is included with breakfast at no extra change (a big plus for coffee loving Aussies) and the banana brioche French toast. The Laneway’s alfresco bar has a free-to-play pool table and cocktail specials each afternoon. This bar overlooks the attractive main pool which never gets used as everyone swims at their villa. If you enjoy a relaxing swimming experience, Peppers Seminyak is ideal as you will almost certainly have the pool to yourself for most of the day.
No Bali resort is complete without a spa and Peppers Seminyak is no exception, with treatments starting at AU$40++ for an hour long Balinese massage. The spa must be good as there were limited appointments available on the day we tried to book. For gym junkies, there is an impressive range of free weights and machines available in the high tech air-conditioned on-site gym. Or you can hit the nearby beach to workout.
Seminyak is popular with Australian and international travellers and can get busy, although you would never know it when you are inside Peppers Seminyak as you can’t hear any noise from outside. For travellers wanting an upmarket Bali villa experience minus the hefty price tag, this resort in the heart of Seminyak offers plenty of bang for your buck.
