Noosa is the perfect spot for a honeymoon, with romantic activities ranging from sipping champagne on the sand to horse-riding into the waves of an idyllic beach or simply dining by candlelight with the sound of rolling waves. In fact, Noosa is a top choice for celebrating pretty much any romantic occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, honeymoon or even a babymoon. It’s got the perfect blend of natural beauty and urban sophistication to deliver all the ingredients for a perfect romantic getaway. When planning your romantic Noosa escape, you will need a blend of stylish accommodation, sophisticated but relaxing dining and activities that will delight and surprise your special someone. Here are five standout romantic experiences at Noosa that will dazzle your lover.

Equathon Noosa

Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced horseman (or woman), a ride down Noosa North Shore’s pristine sands with Equathon Noosa will take your breath away. With a stunning backdrop provided by native bush land and horses to suit every ability (or lack thereof, in our case), these tours will have you riding along the beach and into the waves like a scene straight out of a Hollywood movie.

Noosa Luxury Picnics

Wow your lover with a romantic picnic in a designer tepee, complete with gourmet treats and enough comfy cushions to open your own branch of Pillow Talk. Noosa Luxury Picnics sets up your picnic at a pre-agreed time so you can stroll along the beach with your loved one and surprise them when you stumble across a beautiful, romantic haven like the one below which has been put together especially for them. All you need to do is eat, drink, relax and hold each other close as the sun sinks towards the horizon.

With an assortment of cruising adventures to choose from, including sandbar picnics, surprise transfers to waterfront restaurants such as Rickys River Bar + Restaurant or a trip to the pristine Noosa Everglades, this romantic boat trip comes with a generous dash of retro cool.

Private Surf Lesson

Join former world champion surfer Merrick Davis for a private surf lesson for two at Noosa’s beautiful Laguna Bay. Noosa is a great spot to learn to surf thanks to the calm conditions and small waves which are easy for beginners to ride to shore. Even if you spend more time falling off the board than surfing, this activity is so much fun that you won’t mind a bit.

Romantic Dinner

With so many restaurants to choose from along the boardwalk, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to romantic dining venues for your Noosa honeymoon. Bistro C is one of Noosa’s most romantic spots to sip cocktails and watch the sun go down, followed by dinner overlooking the waves. Season has stunning views over Laguna Bay, and a contemporary, seasonal menu as does Sails which is located near the entrance to Noosa National Park at the end of the boardwalk. If your love of Noosa’s million dollar beach views is larger than your holiday budget, finish your day at Noosa Heads Surf Club where the food is several steps above the usual surf club fare and that famous view can be yours for the price of a beer.

Disclosure: The writer travelled as a guest of Tourism Noosa. She is hoping her husband will take her to Sails, Season or Bistro C again sometime soon.
