Most expensive hotels near the Brisbane Cruise Terminal
Pullman Brisbane Airport
Distance to port: 15 minutes by car
Type: Contemporary Five Star
Pullman Brisbane Airport port shuttle: No.
About the hotel: Pullman Brisbane Airport is the only 5-star hotel near the Brisbane cruise terminals and it delivers when it comes to quality, convenience, and high-end facilities. If you’re flying into Brisbane, it’s a 10 minute walk from the domestic terminal or a $12 transfer from the international airport (or you can take the free inter-terminal airport bus to the domestic terminal and walk from there). Some of the standout features at this hotel are the modern styling and the high standard of service from the friendly staff, plus excellent in-house dining. While the meals at Apron Restaurant aren’t exactly cheap, don’t let the high-ish prices put you off. This is more of a destination restaurant than an airport bistro and the price point reflects the quality of the regionally-inspired dishes. Other facilities at the Pullman Brisbane Airport include a pool, gym and club lounge with runway views. Despite this hotel’s airport location, the rooms are impressively quiet with no aircraft noise to disturb your pre-cruise sleep. With prices starting at just over the $200 mark, this hotel is well priced for a five star hotel (particularly one that’s so conveniently located for those flying into Brisbane) and offers excellent value for money.
Novotel Brisbane Airport
Distance to port: 15 minutes by car
Type: Mid-Range
Novotel Brisbane Airport port shuttle: No.
About the hotel: Novotel Brisbane Airport is a standalone hotel that offers travellers a pleasant stay at a reasonable price point. While it is not what you would call expensive, it’s on the pricey side for a mid-range hotel with rooms starting at $220 for a standard room and costing upwards of $400 for a suite. Like all Novotel hotels, kids under 16 stay free using existing bedding, which adds value for families. Compared to Pullman Brisbane Airport, this hotel isn’t great value as this older 4-star property charges around the same price as its far upmarket sister hotel. However, what sets the Novotel apart is its location next to the large DFO shopping and dining precinct. If you want to pick up some groceries or shop till you drop at the DFO discount outlet mall next door, Novotel Brisbane Airport is a great choice. Rooms at this hotel are a standard Novotel design and deliver on a good night’s sleep with above-average size rooms that don’t have you tripping over your bags to get to the bed or bathroom, which includes a walk-in shower or bath shower combo. Facilities include a pool and gym, and dining is taken care of by the hotel’s somewhat overpriced but convenient Catalina Restaurant.

Rooms come in two configurations – a Standard Room with 1 Queen Sized Bed or a Standard Twin Room with 1 Double and 1 Single Bed – and have private bathrooms with a shower, a mini-fridge, and a kettle with tea and coffee.
