If you want to honeymoon in Bali, finding the most romantic accommodation, the best romantic Bali dinner venues and the most romantic experiences for your Bali honeymoon is important. This guide for finding some Bali romance has plenty of Bali honeymoon tips. Whether you’re a regular to Bali or a first-time visitor, finding the perfect romantic Bali accommodation option comes down to what the ‘must haves’ are for you and your partner. This can vary greatly from couple to couple.

What type of honeymoon do you want

Are you happy to sacrifice some of your daily budget for a knock-out pool villa or is spending the day on adventurous Bali excursions and hitting the town at night your idea of fun? If you are planning on spending most of your time out and about, paying a fortune for fancy honeymoon accommodation may not be the best option. However, neither is a budget property in an isolated part of town.

Where to stay on your honeymoon

Do your homework and don’t be afraid to ask questions before you book. Also, check out the location of the resort you are considering on Google maps. Even if the rooms look beautiful, your accommodation could be located next door to a swamp or so isolated that you need to bring a packed lunch to sustain you when you venture out of the resort to get to wherever you need to go.

Ask friends for recommendations, read reviews and don’t be seduced by a stylish website that only highlights views from the top suite or villa. It’s also important to have a think about whether you want to rent a stand-alone private villa or stay in one that is connected to a hotel with all the associated facilities like Peppers Seminyak. While stand alone villas are often cheaper, they don’t have the convenience of an in-house restaurant or spa. Or, in many cases, someone onsite who is available to help if you need assistance quickly.

Depending on what your plans are, it could be worth staying at two different accommodation options while you’re in Bali. Book a cheaper hotel for the days you’ll be out and about and finish (or start) your holiday at a luxe private villa or fancy hotel.

We’ve got plenty of hints and tips for travelling in Bali and also some great hotel and resort suggestions. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay, we’ve reviewed the Ritz-Carlton Bali Resort, Peppers Seminyak Resort, Apurva Kempinski Bali, Bulgari Resort Bali, Aria Villas Ubud, Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, The Mulia Bali, Merusaka Nusa Dua, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, Anantara Seminyak Bali, the InterContinental Bali for couples and those travelling with kids.
